| Halloween's potential disaster(s) |
[Oct. 31st, 2008|02:53 pm] |
First disaster was sainsburys had no pumpkins.Niether did Tescos. Not a problem as there is always Deptford Market. Nobody had any.Oh nooo-o-o-o- how shall we keep the nasties away? but I had read in the grauniad that it is slightly better to use turnips.Any of them ,nope.AAAArgh.But wait what is that and are there two? It's a Swe-e-e-e-de.Bloody hard work ,fortunately the lateral-thinking-technical-person type has a large drill and a 25mm. spade bit .yes ! however no.2 daughter managed to drill a large hole through her sister's not-pumpkin The picture shows no.1 duaghter being a bit more restrained (there's a first!)

| Kids, who'd have 'em? |
[Aug. 17th, 2008|09:54 pm] |
Well ,round here we call them children as ,apparently , only goats have kids .However, the children have returned fron camp, bringing with them loads of soggy clothes ,it rained, so consequently Chris has been washing for two or three days.I have helped slightly with hanging out to dry and bringing in to avoid more rain etc.,they have not . Tonight was a nice suprise ,after me cooking ,Chris making the gravy,Kit grated chocolate onto the ice cream and brought it to me ..............
Now all they have to learn is how to operate the washing machine . |
